We are answering the next critical question
Olivia Barker-Williams, Clinical Psychologist in Training
Decades of research confirm that the first 1001 days – from pregnancy to age two – are crucial for brain development, immune system formation and lifelong wellbeing. Yet, despite all we’ve learned, many important questions remain unanswered. That’s why we’re launching the Next Critical Question survey. We are inviting leading voices in the field to help us shape the future of early childhood and perinatal research.
Why now?
The earliest years of life lay the foundations for everything that follows. But as science advances, so do the questions we must ask. To make real progress, our research agenda must be driven by the insights and priorities of those working on the front lines: academics, healthcare professionals and policymakers. By sharing your perspective, you can help us direct funding and attention to the issues that will make the biggest difference for babies and their families.
Take the Next Critical Question Survey
Our survey is short but your answers will help us to create a lasting impact.
We want to know:
What has been the greatest scientific discovery of the 1001 critical days so far?
What is the next critical question that we need to answer?
If we found the answer, how could it transform the lives of babies?
Your insights will help us set an international research agenda, turning today’s questions into tomorrow’s practical solutions for families everywhere.
