Lucia Hodgson
Lucia is a Trustee of the 1001 Critical Days Foundation, overseeing media and strategic communications. She has built her career at the intersection of communications, campaigns, and politics, with early childhood advocacy playing an important role throughout. Beginning in a regional adoption agency, she went on to support the development of the 1001 Critical Days manifesto as a parliamentary researcher for Andrea Leadsom. Lucia later held senior advisory roles across government, including the Leader’s Office, Ministry of Defence and as Deputy Press Secretary in Downing Street.
She is now a founder of Charlesbye, a London-based strategic communications firm advising a range of businesses and organisations, including clients in the early years sector. Committed to the power of positive early relationships, Lucia continues to champion the 1001 Days, and will focus on amplifying the powerful stories made possible through the Foundation's grant funding and research.
