I am writing on behalf of [Organisation Name] to ask you to support the Infants, Parents and

Carers Bill - known as the Babies Bill - at its Second Reading in the House of Commons on 4 September.

[Organisation Name] works with [brief description of your work - e.g. families with young

children / parents in the perinatal period] in [your area]. Every day we see the difference

that the right support in the earliest days of a child's life can make and the consequences

when that support is not there.

The Bill, introduced by Sir Desmond Swayne MP, would in effect enshrine in law services

already being provided through the Best Start Family Hubs and Healthy Babies Programme,

building on a policy consensus that spans successive governments.

We would be very grateful if you would:

• Attend the Second Reading debate on 4 September and speak in support of the Bill

• Publicly confirm your support for placing the 1,001 critical days on the statute book

The babies and families we work with cannot speak for themselves in Parliament. We are

asking you to speak for them.
